use of zantac in pregnancy

I am almost 11 weeks and I have really bad acid reflux. Has anyone else been prescribed zantac during pregnancy?

I had acid reflux even before pregnancy. My doctor recommended zantac during my first two trimesters. It worked pretty well. Now there is just no room for my stomach, so he had me switch to prevacid, and I eat bland foods to keep it under control. I never recommend taking anything without asking, though. That way your doctor can explain the risks if there are any.

My midwife said zantac 150 was okay

Tums is definately okay. I googled it and it said zantac was okay so Ive taken it like 3 times when my heartburn was really bad.

Um o cant remember if this is fact bit i do believe it is not ok. But double check. They usually say just drink milk. I forced the acid up n out then drank milk....that usually helped.
