varicose veins

Noooooo! I Just got out of the shower and put lotion on, and I felt on the back of my leg what I thought was maybe a scratch from my dog, but it was a vein! I am really upset right now. I never got it with my last pregnancy, but then again I wasnt active backthen. I'm 36weeks. Has anyone ever gotten them with past pregnancies? Do they go away?

My mother got them being pregnant with me . I'm her only child ... Almost 20 years later they're still there .. I think it depends on how long u stay on ya feet as well , I've heard that it makes them worst if you're always on your feet.

Oh Im so sorry to say this but unless you have them removed with a laser the swelling will go down after delivery but they will never go away. I got them with my 3rd pregnancy and with my fourth pregnancy they werent that bad and now they hurt and are like bulging out of my skin. I only have them on my right leg but theyre embarrasing. I went with my 9yr old to the zoo for his field trip and I asked my hubby if it was ok to get a new out fit and my son butts in and says " Mom please dont wear shorts cuz your leg is gross" I just laughed it off cuz theres nothing I can do.
Each time you get pregnant they will just get worse. Mine are sore to the touch. Sorry...
