vitamin d
Hey everyone, so the last time I went to the Dr she told me my vitamin d levels were inordinarily low - like 19.2 or something. Well she prescribed me 50,000 units of vitamin d once a week. Had anyone experienced any side effects from taking such a high dose of a vitamin? Especially constipation (on top of reg. Pregnancy constipation lol)
Hmm... Yeah I thought about it. I was 10 weeks when she prescribed it so I would HOPE she would've considered any sort of concern with it effecting the baby.
I have the sane deficiency and my doctor prescribed me the 50,000 as well but that was before I got pregbaby vas soon as we learned that I was pregnant my doctor took me off of such a high dosage of the vitamin and prescribed me 500. She was concerned that such a high dosage would harm my bsby so she switched me. Maybe you should bring this concern up at your next appointment
