I have been having nasty ole heartburn and I know not to believe in the old wive's tales but I did just read something about heartburn during pregnancy.  It is said that heartburn during pregnancy means a greater chance at baby being born with hair but I don't see how hair could cause heartburn lol. This is what I read causes it, mind you I got this off the web

Heartburn is common during pregnancy because, as the stomach is pushed higher by the growing baby and the expanding uterus, it becomes easier for acid to move backwards (or "reflux") from the stomach into the lower esophagus. Acid is irritating to the esophagus and causes the discomfort we know as heartburn.

So what I am wondering is who all has already had babies that were born with hair and had heartburn during pregnancy. I keep joking that if this baby doesn't come out with a head full of hair then I'm gonna be mad that I had to put up with all this acid reflux\heartburn.  I am currently 25 weeks and 2 days and just for the past 3 or 4 days the heartburn has been coming on strong!

I had heartburn really bad in my last 2 months of the pregnancy and my daughter had a head full of hair! All the nurses kept talking about how much she had. And with my current pregnancy ive had alot of heartburn and in her 3D ultrasound pics she has alot of hair.

My first pregnancy,my daughter was born with a head full of hair and i didnt have heartburn at all.With this pregnancy ive had acid reflux a few times and im sure if my son comes out with a head full of hair it probably wont have anything to do with my reflux lol family genetics maybe:)

Yea! Family genetics have a lot to do with it I'm sure. My husband and I were both born with a head full of hair! I am just so curious as to what color it's gonna be! Hubby was born with blonde and I had brown and blonde is a recessive gene for me!

My son isnt out yet but all the ultrasound techs tell me he has a lot of hair and i get heartburn from everything! And honestly i dont know why both me and my boyfriend had no hair until we were one

I had heartburn that i can only compare to feeling lke lava bubbling up, or a fireplace poker thing being shoved down my. Throat. My daughter came out with a head full of thick hair lol the dr and nurses constantly commented on how i must've mearly died from heartburn lol

I had bad heartburn and my son was born with full head of hair so it was true in my case idk bout others though

With my fIrst I had zero heartburn & he had a head full of thick pretty black hair.  With my last I had heartburn sooooo bad I puked daily because the v reflux was so bad. Strong prescription from my DR didn't even stop it lol he came out bald as hell. And was until he turned one. This time my heartburn is just as bad & im praying my baby boy has at least some hair. Idk if the wives tale is true but it wasn't for me, but is for most people.

With my first o.had alot of heartburn.and my son.come.out with a beautiful full head of.auburn.hair, lots of heartburn already n only 9 weeks so this one will b a hairy monkey lol good luck
