weed

So my best friend is seriously a pothead, she smoked thru almost her whole pregnancy, she had a beautiful boy who is now 18 months, just learned how to walk and is not talking yet all he says is bye and yeah, so idk if thats normal? I feel like hes more slow learning because she smoked so much during her pregnancy, anyways it just makes me mad she was supposed to start nursing school but now she cant because she cant pass a drug test so she put it on hold, and today she was smoking and was trying to get me to smoke im 39 weeks pregnant so I was like umm no, my babys coming any day now and I dont want nothing in his system or mine I dont need that bs...and she just kept insisting she was like u been clean for soo long one hit wont hurt, and it was just making me so mad...like im no goodie goodie I did smoke in the beggining it helped a lot with morning sickness but after that went away I quit idk if shes jealous or something but like shes supposed to be my bff...I just had to vent about it...sorry

I didn't know I was pregnant and I was smoking same with my first daughter  (I stopped as soon as I found out and I let my doc know) but u have came to far to mess up now (they usually do drug test on ur baby when there born so good choice) And no that's not normal kids usually walk around there 1st birthday and talk and say like 20 words by 18 month I'm not saying it was the weed but maybe cause the baby doesn't get enough attention and doesn't pick up things cause no one teaches him! My daughter is super smart for almost 4 and I always sat down and taught her anything I thought she needed to know! After I had her I didn't smoke for like 6 months and then I did daily (no judgments I'm grown and pay my own bills and she was never around when I did) and I know I will again after this one too! But I never neglected my child and she always came first! Good luck and while that baby is on ur body... keep it clean!

Everyone is different. Like you i smoked to help with the beginning n once or twice bc of the pain (wisdom tooth growing) but like you quit when it want needed anymore. But i nursed my daughter for a year while i smoked n she is fifteen months walking talking and her doctors say she's advanced. But maybe bc i didn't as much while her brain was devolping in me that she had a chance to be smart. But i also have to say it had to do with your friend parenting skills. I teach my daughter everything. She can count to three n use her fingers to show you. Had everything to do with her parenting. But good for you for saying no. I don't think that was cool of her even asking you to smoke.
