My doctor's guidelines is 25 to 35 max weight gain throughout whole pregnancy.  I gained a bit more than that but my lovely doctor's said nothing.  The real issue becomes losing weight on the other end of the pregnancy.  It was easy after my first but harder after the second.  ugh.

It's probably too much because of how far along you are. I'm 35 weeks, I've only gained 18 pounds my whole pregnancy, I'm under weight as far as myself but the baby is perfect.
