Water Birth??

I reallly want to have a water birth. I dont want to lay in a miserable hospital bed! I just dont know how to go about having one. Is it expensive? Do i have to have a midwife? If so, how do i get one and how much do they charge? Has anyone else ever had a water birth? What was your experience?

Not if you have people that know what they are doing. It is perfectly safe

I had one and it was amazing! I plan on doing it again. Not sure the rules for a hospital. I would find a doula or midwife that is familiar with it.

Some hospitals offer a water birth. So check wife the hospitals near you to connect with a doula or midwife. I'm considering going this route should complications arise or I change my mind. This is my first pregnancy and I'm not sure how my body will handle labor pains

I know some people who have had water births at home. You can check online for pools to hire out or mention it to your doctor he/she can provide you info on where to hire them from as some hospitals hire them out to houses. And yes it is best to have a midwife who is experienced with delivering in water
