weight gain

I was just wondering how much weight everyone has gained so far in their pregnancies?  I know it doesn't really matter but I'm 24 weeks today and I've already gained 20lbs.  I'm  trying to eat healthy but I'm hungry ALL THE TIME.  I literally have to eat right before I go to bed or else I wake up in the middle of the night with my tummy growling.  The only reason I'm a little worried is because I was slightly overweight to begin with and I know too much weight gain is not good for me or the babe.  Does anyone think that 20 lbs at 24 weeks is too much?

I'm 23 wks and still weigh 7lbs less than when I got prego, I am happy though because I am 5' 3" and weighed 208 when I got prego so I def should not put on too much weight during this pregnancy. I just try to eat pretty healthy and I don't feel bad when I splurge on a craving now and then (:

I'm 25 weeks and I lost 20lbs in the first trimester an have gained back 10 so far. I'm 5'6" and started at 200lbs. But I don't really eat that much. Although for dinner tonight I sautéed a huge squash and zucchini and that was all. I've been craving it for several days as finally made it to the store. But that is much healthier than the Oreos I had afterwards lol.

You're the same weight and height I was when I got pregnant as well.

Based on your weight and height, you would be expected to gain anywhere from 15-25 pounds during your pregnancy. The third trimester is where most of your weight gain will come from. As long as you're eating healthy (a pregnant female only needs around 500 extra calories a day) and not snacking all day on junk foods, it should be fine.

I have lost 15 lbs and i'm 12 wks. I also started out somewhat overweight, so i'm glad this is creating a buffer for my weight gain. As long as you're eating a healthy diet, I don't think 20 lbs is too much right now....but I wouldn't know for sure
