also, they said he's in the 60th percentile. what does that mean?
My daughter weighed.almost 2 pounds. The 60 percentile thing is just to see where your babys weight is compared to other babies. 60th percentile is fine
I didnt have an ultrasound at 26 weeks but the one at 34 weeks said 6 lbs and 14 oz. When he was born 10 days over due he was 8 lbs 14oz
thats meaning he is gaining weight.. my baby always measured very small at 26 wks also at 28wks.. but at 31 wks whooping 4.18lb and gone right into 89th percentile :).... for my baby his average weight was 1.98lbs and at 28 wks his weight at 10percentile was 2.20lb :)..
Well at 25+4 my baby weighed in at 2lbs I go back at 31+4 for another ultrasound and I'm 28+5 now
also i confirmed his weight from U/S now i have appointment for 34wks and i m hoping he stays at 90th percentile.. those three lines on chart are estimated weight for baby and it also helps midwife to understand if baby has growth restrictions etc.. but they are not always correct.. :).. its always give or take two pounds when baby is born :)...
so 50th percentile is about average?
this percentile crap is so confusing!
someone break it down for me! :)
Yup! My little man was 1 pound at 21 weeks so that sounds about right. And 60th percentile is good, yourself truelys son was in like the 4th at 32 weeks or so and he ended up being over 4 pounds at birth so keep it up!
Percentile means out of 100 babies yer boy is bigger than 60 of them so its about average
