what birth control is best after a c-section

I have recently had two c-sections. My doctor told me that I should not try to get pregnant for at least two years. I have been placed on the mini-pill because i am breast feeding. I like it because it has less side effects but I know it is not as affective. I started to research other methods and I am wondering if it is safe to been on a birth control that thins the lining of your uterus, such as the combination pill and the mini-pill do. I want to try to get pregnant again, and I am not sure if this will inhibit my future pregnancy or inhibit my healing from the c-sections

Hi!
The pills work at the level of the endometrium or lining of the uterus, and their effects are temporary.  The scar forms at the level of the myometrium or muscle wall of the uterus, and won't be influenced much if at all by taking the pill.  We usually recommend stopping the pill and then waiting for 2-3 cycles before trying again, when the time comes
I hope you are reading between the lines that it is OK to take the pill if it works well for you.
Good luck!
