Most times spotting is common in pregnancy especially after intercourse. Most time concern comes when you start having bleeding like a period w/wo  abdominal cramping

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would want you to call me right away.  I would have you come in for an ultrasound to be sure everything is OK.  Usually things are fine and the bleeding will subside on its own. But I would definitely want to have you call me!

Could be from having sex..
I spotted at 6-7 weeks and was told it was a hematoma in my uterus that either releases or is absorbed through the body

I started spotting at 9 weeks .. it was brown and then turned red and went back to brown again. I was really worried so i went to A & E where they sent me for an early scan the next day. Everything was okay and baby was fine .. they could not find a cause for it .. they just put it down to old blood .. i would keep an eye on it and if it persists then get it checked out .. also try to take it easy .. mine carried on for a week and then stopped
