I think it's very important because when you get the vaccine while pregnant, the antibodies are passed to your baby, protecting your baby for the first couple months after they're born. I got the flu shot and will also get the whooping cough vaccine, because both are very dangerous for the baby to get

I got the whooping cough shot at 36 weeks and the only negative thing was a sore arm but that went anyway in a day or two. I did not get the flu shot though

I got the flu vaccine and whooping cough vaccine about a month ago and I felt fine. I think you should get the whooping cough vaccine.

Both vaccines aren't live so neither will make you sick. I have had both of mine already and was fine other than a little sore arm. They are both highly recommended to help protect both you and baby. Whooping cough is far more serious for the baby to get than for you to get, but the flu is dangerous for both of you.
