? Prostate Cancer: 0.5 rise in PSA over 18 months...

I am now 67 years old, and have gradually developed some symptoms which I think suggest BPH. [not on Proscar etc.].
However, my PSA is now 1.8   [risen 0.5 over 18 months]. I have had retrograde ejaculation for 8+ years. Otherwise healthy, athletic.

Prior PSA:
05/11 =1.3
11/10= 1.1
04/10= 1.1
04/09= 1.2
10/08= 1.1
01/08= 0.9
11/07= 0.8
07/07= 1.1
12/05= 0.8
01/05= 0.6
07/04= 0.7
10/02= 0.9
08/02= 0.9
05/98= 0.9

Hi and thanks for the get well!!
Your bladder is not closing. Its has to do with the sphincter muscle. The sperm is going to the path of least resistance. Some say its caused by high blood pressure medicine. Are you taking this?

Thanks again.
Glad that you are doing well now.

No, I do not know much about retrograde ej, except that I have had it for some years .
Any insight would be helpful!

Hi and welcome. Im not a doctor but had prostate cancer and 45 radiation treatments. Im ok now and my psa has been steady at .08. Well i guess you already know about  retrograde ej. My psa was 4.7 and had a biopsey and discovered it. Ive learned that the best warning sign is called a spike in the psa. Like from 1 to 4. I dont see a spike with yours. Just keep checking with your doctor. Since you dont have a spike your insurance most likely will only cover the test once a year but to be safe i would check it every 6 months. I dont see any issue here.
