I am 65 and was treated for Prostate Cancer having PSA 29.94 & Glison Score 9

In my opinion IMRT (Intesity Modulated Radio Therapy) is the best option with Hormone Therapy. I was given radiation for 35 days and now my PSA is 0.02. Side effects are very nominal.

I think at your fathers age IMRT with Hormone therapy will be best option.

Always be on his side keep the atmosphere in the family very very positive.Always remember Cancer is curable with the right treatment at the right time and Prostate cancer is surely curable.
