Stubborn Prostatitis

9 months ago I had unprotected sex with a girl I met and 2 weeks after that I started having pain in my testicles and later on a yellowish green discharge. The doctor gave me Doxycyclin 100 twice a day for a week and no tests were made. All symptoms cleared but a month later I started feeling a tingling sensation in the area from my anus to my testicles. The doctor gave me Cipro 500 twice a day for 2 weeks and Doxycyclin 100 for 4 weeks but  th symtoms are still there. I was then given Suprax for 2 weeks but again no improvement. any suggestions?

Hello Sir,

It seems as though you might have contracted a sexually transmitted disease. A full workup should be performed, including tests for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and other STD's as well. Empiric treatment with doxycycline is a good start, but there is a chance that your infection was not caused by gonococcus. You can try ibuprofen for pain management as long as you have no allergy to it, or are not taking other medications, it is ok for you to combine ibuprofen with antibiotics.

Thanks!

I forgot to mentiuon that after the 1st course of Doxycyclin I did a urine analysis which only gave a slightly elevated WBC count and the VDRL and HIV1/2 came back negative and I didn't have any unprotected sex with my GF after that.
