Hello Men.
I had by prostate removed October 17, 2007 when I was 48. I found the article above on webmd. When i tried to search the topic, most of the articles dealt with testerone deprivation as a treatment to recurrent cancer. JNR--you have reached the "survivor" designation--my guess is that your doctor would approve supplementation.
baku2222--your doctor might be more hesitant due to your recent surgery, though you could still ask him. Who wants to wait five years to get your mojo back? I was taking L-Arginine and my urologist said it would be fine. I had asked because of the label warning of men with cancer.
I have another acquaintance who is undergoing deprivation because his PCa has returned. He had radiation already so all that is left for him currently is the deprivation therapy. the best advice is of course to check with your urologist.
go ahead and read the article and ask your doctor about it.
JNR, I had my prostate removed on 5th May 09 because of prostate cancer. I stopped using testosterone gel then, I'm now 60 yo and do not have the energy like before but am wondering if you (or anyone) got any answers about the safety issue of restarting the T gel. Please answer direct to me on ***@**** any help is appreciated. Ross
