Head burning during and after a CT scan?

I recently got a CT scan because I am having trouble remembering things. I did not get the IV solution, and it only took a few minutes to complete. But when the scan started, the inside of my head (dare I say my brain), starting from the base of my skull up to the top of my head got extremely warm. Then I started to smell something... odd, but I don't know how to describe it. Now afterwards, the tech who did it has no clue what im talking about, and my scalp is burning with what feels like a sunburn. Can anyone please tell me what happened, or if you've heard of this before?
