Yes it can be shared by using picture archiving and communication system (PACS). PACS stores digital images from X-rays, CT scans, MRI , ultrasounds, and other diagnostic modalities and transmits them so they're included in your electronic medical record and can be shared online among physicians at  medical centers. The images can also be stored on a CD to share with other clinicians those who are involved in the case study.

Ok...well...You have two general options.

1) DICOM converters to convert images from the standard DICOM format to something else such as JPEG..this will produce a bunch of single images that you can then organize

2) DICOM viewers, these pretty much always require either Java or Active-X to run and give the better viewing experience since it preserves the original state of the imaging data and allows for better windowing/leveling of the images when viewing.

Here is a link to a bunch of radiology image converters and viewers...I have looked at a bunch of these in the past, but not recently, so I don't know which are currently maintained or updated...

I mean the whole set of images. You know, something like a program to automatically downsize the pictures to set we share and discuss on the Internet

What do you mean by sharing?  You want to put the whole set of images online or only select images.  MRI images come in a format called DICOM, you can find converters to take DICOM images to JPEG, you can also find javascript DICOM viewers.  It all depends on what you are trying to do.  Can you be more specific.
