Need expertise figuring this one out - bone marrow edema
For the last 12 months I have been having incapacitating pain in my shoulder, unable to move my arm freely. I had no trauma to the area. MRI reports indicate bone marrow edema in the humerus and shoulder blade. Doctors have no idea what is causing it. Latest exams show it has spread to the other humerus and also both femur bones. Has anyone seen anything similar? (sorry, no images available, I just have the reports).
Hi, marrow edema most often is associated with a history of trauma and with rotator cuff abnormalities including full thickness tears. Bone marrow edema has several ediologies (sp) such as infection, cancer, stress fractures, cancer etc. Any abnormalities of your rotator cuffs or tendons?
