I was in the shower a couple of days ago and suddenly felt pain in my shoulder and thought oh I've done something. The pain increased over the next couple of days and I took i ruder and paracetamol. But to no avail. I went to the doctors 2 days ago and she prescribed an anti ilnflammatory. Then my right arm has got worse and I can't move it at all- I can only lift it using my left arm. There is still pain in my shoulder . There's not really much pain in my arm but it's just hanging flat against my body which is weird. I can use my right hand abit but there's no strength in it. I have gone back to the doctors and she was mythed - she said you should be able to move your arm. She's doubled the anti inflammatory meds. I'm wondering if there is something else wrong. The doctor firstly said I had probably done something to the ligaments. Any ideas? I have had problems before with my right arm but that was always pins and needles or stabbing pains.
Hi,
How are you? Do you still have the swelling in your arm and hand? If there was no recent trauma to this area, this may be attributed to musculoskeletal causes, inflammation or infection. Rest, ice and elevate the arm. Further evaluation will help determine the underlying cause. Direct clinical examiantion will help. Take care and do keep us posted.
