I'm seeing my sister disapper before my eyes

Our family has been through alot this year, with the death of 4 relatives and my father was diagnosed with cancer. Now my sister is disappering before my very eyes from a mysterious disease that has baffled so many docters (7) in fact. Her symptoms started out with simple headaches that grew worse every week. Then one day she told me she was so out of breath, couldn't hardly speak, tingling on her left side of the body which eventually became paralyzed. The attacks would occur mostly in the morning and afternoon but eventually struck while she was sleeping. The attacks lasted for almost 2 years and then disappeared for 1 year like it never happened. Eventually the doctors said it was stress or had to do with her genetic cranial stenosis of her right side of the brain. They told her to take baby asprin everyday and that the attacks she had to live with for the rest of her life but see less of it if she did as the doctors told her with the asprin. Yet things took a turn for the worse after she gave birth to her son. About 2 months after her birth to her son she experienced the attacks again with the shortness of breath. She started getting even more tired and just going up the stairs was like running a marathon. Bare in mind ( My sister was a college athlete and had been active in sports almost her whole life) with a physically fit body UNTIL her problems occured. Just a week ago she complained of right upper pain below her chest so I told her it might be her liver and to get a liver blood test done. When the results came back it was .Get this.. 100x times more than the normal. I took her blood pressure today and it was within normal range BUT her heart rate was 144! I am a nursing student, my mom is a nurse, and my sister experiencing the problem is a yes you guessed.. a nurse. You'd think with all our medical background that we'd know what is causing all these signs and symptoms. I have searched tirelessly and so has my family to find out what is causing all these problems on my sister's body. I just hope there is somebody out there who can bring some light to my sister's problem. My worst fear is for my nephew to grow up without a mother and not know how much she loved and cared for him. Please help..thanks to anybody taking the time to read this and may God Bless.

Thank you for responding to my post. You did give me a hint with the estrogen issue. My sister in on the Nuva Ring and it could relate to her elevated Liver Enzymes or maybe have caused cysts to grow on her lungs. We already schduled to see a doctor tomorrow and we'll see what he says. As for MS she was already ruled out for not having it but we'll ask for a CT scan on the lungs;).

A few things to be aware of...I have a disease that is related to estrogen and has cause multiple cysts to form in my lungs making everyday tasks like running a marathon. A high resolution CT scan might be able to rule something wrong within the lungs out. The second could be very serious and I could be overstepping here but it could also be MS. My friend was just recently diagnosed with this and her SOB sounds quite similar. I would lean more towards the estrogen theory with how things unfolded with the birth of her son. My disease is still unknown but it can't hurt to get the CT I would think...hope she gets better.
