Menstrual Cycle

Okay...so I was diagnosed with anemia in November, and my doctor put me on Feosol(ferrous sulfate) in December. I haven't gotten a menstrual cycle since probably 2 weeks before Christmas. Does the feosol or sulfate supplement counteract cycles and cause them to stop?

Hi,
I'm glad I could be of help. In addition, don't be surprise if your stool turns black while taking the ferrous sulfate. This is one of the side effects of the iron supplement. Feel free to ask any clarifications or queries. Take care and do keep us posted with the result of your blood work. Take care!

Hi,
How are you? Aside from pallor, fatigue and weakness, anemia may also present with missed periods, pruritus, constipation, sleepiness, palpitations, hair loss, or feeling faint. It is important that you manage your anemia so that your menstruation will return back to normal. Continue your medicines until your next blood worj. Take care and best regards.
