Splenic Cyst information

I have a calcified Splenic Cyst 13cm in my spleen, with symptoms. I have little information on my condition, can anyone give further information & is surgery a likely option?

Hello,
Thank you for commenting on my post.  I have had lots of blood tests and I am seeing a consultant on the 4th Nov to find out more information and discuss my results. My blood results showed raised levels of ferritins, alt & white blood cell count. The registrar I saw previously + my Dr & another Dr at my surgery had not seen a case like mine before, so hopefully I will get answers soon.

Splenic cysts may be grouped to  congenital or secondary causes.Congenital issues  include splenic epidermoid cyst, lymphangioma, or  hemangioma  while secondary splenic cysts may be due to : trauma, infarction, hydatid cyst and even pyogenic splenic abscesses. Surgery may be indicated to remove the cyst. It is best that you check with your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
