This past week has been the same only the pain is from below my ribs down. I cant lie on my stomach or my side. I had a CT Scan and blood work done and it just showed a small Hiatal hernia. I did research on it and did what it said but it still hurts like the dickens and i still have diarreah and a fever for the last 2 weeks. As far as the referal goes. Im no insurance. I cant be accepted due to my past history. Noone wants to deal with me. I have called around to the dif gastro docs and they all want 1000$ just to be seen and most wont accept people with no insurance. I dont have that kind of money. Heck it takes me 2 monthes to make just that. I have also been to a gyno about it and she said same thing my doc siad she thinks its due to the blood clot in my inferior vena cava. Its not endo or a cyst, or tubal. I just dont get it.
Hi,
How are you? Surgery is used whenever possible in pancreatic cancer. This also depends on what section of the pancreas the tumor is located in. The most common surgical procedure is the Whipple procedure. This removes the head of the pancreas, part of the small intestine and some of the surrounding tissues. A total pancreatectomy removes the entire pancreas and the organs around it. And distal pancreatectomy removes only the body and tail of the pancreas. Usually, chemotherapy and radiation may precede surgery or follow surgery. Before surgery, the procedure is usually discussed. It would also help to taIk to your doctor about his management plan to ease any worries. Take care and do keep us posted.

I would look into something called iliohypogastric neuralgia. I have had it and it is basically a trapped nerve. Is that area extra sensitive to touch or anything cold?
Hi Heather,
How are you? I'm sorry to hear what you have been through for the last few months. Left upper quadrant pain is usually associated with colonic diseases or splenic diseases while lower left quadrant pain pay be due to diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic inflammatory disease, kidney stone, endometriosis, ectopic pregnancy, and rupture of an ovarian cyst. You may benefit from a referral to a gastroenterologist or a gynecologist to rule out problems in these areas. Take care and do keep us posted.
