chronic leg pain

Right leg artery was punctured when having heart stent placed Aug 2013. Since then I have chronic pain and swelling. Have had a emg test that showed no nerve damage and was told that I will to see a pain clinic. So what could be causing this pain and swelling ?

I have cramping that starts in the upper calf of right leg and travels down to lower ankle. Pain is awful if I try to bend leg. And when I walk it seems as if my leg wants to give out.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
What other symptoms are present?  It is good that EMG was fine. Aside from neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, the pain could be due to circulation issues also.  If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
