odd symptoms

Has anyone heard of a disorder where the person has extreme bouts of exhaustion?  Other symptoms are: Flu like symptoms, muscle ache, joint pain, edema, weight gain, occasional fever, heavy chest like labored breathing.  All tests show normal the doc gave lasex for the edema but other symptoms come and go.  Any suggestions welcome.

It sounds to me like you might be describing a disease that I have called Dercum's Disease. It can cause all of those things, especially unexplained and uncontrollable weight gain, excessive edema, severe aches and pains, flu like symptoms, and inexplicable fevers, among other things. If the lasix didn't address your edema, that's another sign that it might be Dercum's, although in some rare cases Dercum's patients do respond somewhat to diuretics.
If you'd like to learn more, I set up a website with the help of two doctors in Sweden who are considered the leading experts in Dercum's Disease. There's also a peer-reviewed medical journal article published there, which you can download for free, print out, and take to your Doctor to help in the diagnostic process. Please check it out at www.DercumsDisease.com.
And if you have any further questions or anything, I'm always happy to help in any way that I can. My email address is listed on the site as well, but here you go: HLawver AT gmail *******.
Good luck!

Sounds like Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / Epstein-Barr.  Both of these can, at times, make you feel like you are about to come down with the flu, but it just doesn't seem to get to a really bad flu point.

Watch the weather and if your symptoms get worse with low / high pressure or rainy, humid, or cold weather - this could also be a tell tale sign that it is a myalgia, CFS or muscle condition.

Hope this helps, Kay
