shooting pain

Hello, I've had a pain that started in the groin area, radiating and shifting from one testicle to another. It eventually subsided but as time went on, it started to feel that the pain was somehow coming from a deep place near the hip but more in the abdomen, on the right side. I had a physical checkup just a month before this all started and everything was fine, including a host of blood tests. All my urological functions seem to be working fine. Now the pain is to the point where it is radiating into my hands and feet and sometimes into the testicles. The only thing I can think of is a hernia (although I can't feel anything protruding) or a pinched nerve somewhere. Before I go back to the doctor, I wanted to know if I should go directly to a specialist. Thanks in advance.

Does the pain increase while coughing? Or sneezing? Has pain be controlled ever during any point of time? The pain due to hernia would also increase with the bent posture.
Answers to these questions would further help.

Thank you so much for responding. The pain comes and goes and does not increase with coughing or sneezing. Sometimes the pain appears with certain movements such as bending down, although it hurts less now with bending over than it did a few weeks ago. I have not taken any medication for this since the pain goes away after a little while. I have tried to feel around while coughing or straining to see if I can feel any protrusion but I cannot. Is it possible that it is a mild hernia of some sort? When the pain is not present, there is a bit of pressure or tension in that area (where the leg joins the abdomen across the hip and down a bit). Also generally when I am walking or doing any physical exercise, the pain is not present. Thank you again!
