strange lumps

I have strange lumps that come and go.  They are the size of marbles and I have had them all over my body.  I usually have one or two at a time.  When they start they hurt like a bruise then after 2 or 3 weeks they go away and a new one forms somewhere else on my body.  I have been to the doctor several times and none of them have been able to figure it out. Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

Hi,
How are you? There are a number of skin conditions that can cause lumps and bumps in the skin. This include any of the following: skin cysts, cherry angioma, dermatofibromas, epidermoid cysts lipomas and even folliculitis. Can you elaborate when the bumps started and what particular location they appear? Direct clinical examination of the bumps is essential.  Take care and best regards.

Sounds to me like you could have enlarged lymph nodes, since it's been going on for awhile then you should go see an immunologist/infectious disease doctor.  Lymph nodes usually only swell up when you have some type of infection - anything from sinusitis to a dandruff causing skin infection.  So that's something you should rule out, because you might have some long-lasting infection like mono and if that's the case you'll want to do what you have to do to get rid of it and feel better.

Another thing I've had before are called 'ganglion cysts' and they are just harmless fluid filled cysts that form sometimes for no particular reason...usually mine form on joints, like my wrists, but they can form anywhere from what I understand.

Hope you find an answer soon.
