wisdom teeth to c. difficile to dry mouth to left side sensations to dry eyes/nose and face pressure to can't open left eye

Hi everyone.  I'm listing my crazy string of health events and weird symptoms to see if anyone has some input or can relate!

Got wisdom teeth out (summer 2009), had infections twice afterwards, took clindamycin each time to clear infections.  Antiobiotics resulted in c. difficile (October 2009), took 2 rounds of flagyl (metronidazole) to cure c. difficile.  Ever since that, weird medical stuff that has the docs stumped has been happening:

I was ok while on flagyl but as soon as I finished the first course I got a really dry mouth.  I still needed a second course for c. difficile treatment and the dry mouth went away while on flagyl again but as soon as I went off it, the dry mouth came back and lasted for a good 10 months until I took Sialor, a salivary stimulant.  Saliva production gradually came back and remained once quitting Sialor (which should only work while on it and not after quitting... I guess it triggered something?).  Not only was my mouth dry but it had this constant thirst that could never be quenched and nothing ever provided relief.

One random morning (May 2010) (still had dry mouth at this point) I woke up with odd sensations down the left side of my body (lower face, neck, arm, leg).  They are difficult to decribe, but my left side has the "sensation" of being tired/weak (though doesn't technically seem "weaker" in function).  Can feel sort of tingly, have slight hot/cold feelings, and feel as though it’s coming out of being asleep but can’t quite make it back to normal. Sort of “sickly” in feeling.  These feelings came on completely suddenly overnight, are still present, and have persisted for over a year now.

A few months ago (start of November 2010), I woke up with the following symptoms (again, completely sudden onset overnight):  Eyes really dry and sore, feels like I have shampoo in them all the time, overly sensitive to light, wind.  Sometimes when eyes are really throbbing it looks as though I’m wearing raw-red eyeliner.  Bad constant pressure in face (around eyes, nose, upper teeth, basically across middle of face).  Nose feels hollow-like, smell seems somewhat off due to dryness.  Though whole face is affected, feelings seem more prominent in left side.  All these symptoms still exist and are constant, nothing provides relief.

A month and a bit later (December 2010) I felt sudden tightness up the left side of my head and have been getting crawly weird feelings up my head ever since.

A couple days ago (July 2011), I suddenly woke up with difficulty opening my left eye, and it has remained that way since.  It feels as though there is lots of tension and pressure inhibiting my function.  Also, interestingly, when I tilt my head down I can open my eye ok, but when I tilt my head back I can barely seem to open it at all.

If anyone has any insight into this crazy string of events or has experienced similar things I would be very grateful to hear about it!  Doctors are stumped and tests keep coming back normal.  It's a makin' me crazzzy!!  Many thanks!!

First off you need to see someone to get your gut flora normal in your stomach see an ND the...I guessing here but that crawly feeling could be simply that you killed all the good flora in your gut now you have fungal candida overgrowth some MD do not consider this legit go to and ND or integrative MD..Antibiotics are so strong it can cause serious problems months later. Anyhow it will take time to recover, meanwhile you need to find an expert I mean a real expert in understanding jaw bone infection and oral surgery procedures. Also see a neurologist infectious disease expert and get a real LYME test.

Consider ozone injections I would  go to NIHA if you had too! I had a fistula and one dentist told me was post surgery trauma,  another dentist one told me it was nothing and my MD told me it was infection sent me pronto   to an oral surgeon she opened up the site and the bone graft did not take and it was infected! I was so sick no one knew why mY ND told me to hit the sauna every day by day three I had a toothache I had the wisdom teeth pullled oops wrong tooth the one next to it has a dental granuloma which is an infection and I was still sick it has spread to the tooth next to that one I had extractions ! Anyhow I was on  C IV's, WEEKLY OZONE and oil pulling it was worth it finally over I was sick for two years sore throat everyday...

I can't tell you what is going on with you but I wound up with a tooth pulled and cellulitis which is a staph or strep infection set into my mouth, the infection made a fistula and traveled up my cheekbone to along my eye, I had a heck of a time on 7 different antibiotics and antifungals, and I have a scar in my mouth from the fistula I always wonder if it will flare up because it has a few times, they don't want to do surgery as where it is, I could lose all feeling in my face, nose, ect.  I'm betting the infection you had somehow affected the facial nerves which can cause pain, numbness, crawley feelings, tingling, ect.  I'm not sure what the solution is but I would ask for a referral to a neurologist who can test the nerves so at least if they are affected you know what is wrong.
