Am I the father of "my baby"

the girl i was having sexual relations with (now my girlfriend) for the past year is now pregnant. I know that she also had sexual intercourse with one other guy around the time she got pregnant. To be more specific she is now 36 weeks and 4 days, therefore she got pregnant exactly on sept. 13 (if you count backwards from today). She is due on June 20th. The weird thing about it is that her period came some time between sept 15-18 and the only time she had sex with some one else was october 1st. the closest time that i can remember we had sex to october first was sept 27 (we also had sex all through out early sept, but not between sept 19-25 because she was on vacation). So what i am asking is, is it possible the doctor gave us a wrong date of conception, or did she have real early bleeding. I am also wondering who is most likely to be the father of this child.
thank you!

When a girl has unprotected sxual intercourse she can get pregnant from that sperm for like 5 days is it?
So, the date is never 100% accurate, but it does sound like your the father. There is also a chance your not. Get the dna test, but dont freak out to much about it becuase you could be the father.

I don't know why they would risk not only unwanted pregnancies but STD's.  Maybe I was just a paranoid teenager but I made sure to get on the pill and used condoms with my 1, yes 1 sexual partner.  With him for 6 years and never ever had an "accident".  It's not difficult to avoid unprotected sex, with all the education out there and availability, I just don't get it.

That is all you hear about today, teens getting pregneant, dont they have anything else to think about than having unprotected sex also how do they expect to pay for it and raise it with no education. The wefare rolls are full of all of these teens wanting help, soon they will run out of money then what? They know better, but they just cant wait to do what married couples do   jo  ps it is not only the teens the ones of age are just as stupid, they cant wait they put the cart before the horse

the due date is not 100% right on. it's a guesstimate. my ob changed my due date 4 times. it varied from sept. 1 - sept. 20. i had my twins aug. 11. (they were extremely early) we were able to narrow down the possible WEEKS i could have gotten pregnant (it helped that dh is a marine and was only home for 3 weeks when i conceived).

so you can't just count backward and bam that's the date. since she had sex with the both of you so close in date the only way you're going to know who the father is, is to have a paternity test done once the child is born.

i have to agree with judy. she was very irresponsible for doing this. even if she thought she was protected b/c methods are NOT 100%. the only way you're 100% protected from pregnancy is abstinence.

good luck.

Personally, I think the odds of you being the father are slightly higher in your favor than the other guy.
But you won't know until you get a DNA test.

Okay, first of all, you don't just count backwards from 36 weeks, 4 days to get her "conception date" on Sept. 13th. It doesn't quite work like that.
Day 1 of her pregnancy was counted on the first day of her period, which was Sept. 15th.
So, assuming she ovulated exactly on Day 14, meaning that's when the sperm met the egg and conception occurred, that would have been Sep. 28th (making her approximately 2 weeks pregnant).
You said you had sex Sep 27th.
However, you said she had sex again with the other guy on Oct. 1st, or Day 17.
Therefore, considering that ovulation can literally happen at ANY TIME in a cycle and not specifically on Day 14 (sometimes women even ovulate while on their period), either one of you could be the father, especially considering the average ovulation times occur between Days 12 and 20.
The only way to find out if you're the father is with a DNA test after the baby is born.

Other than that, I also agree with what Judy246 said.

The doctor goes by the first day of her last menstrual period, not the actual date of conception. An ultrasound may have given an adjusted date of 36w, 4d, but again- that's not the date of conception. Either one of you could be the father.

It's possible.  Like Judy said, you'll have to wait until the baby is born and get a DNA test.  There's no way to tell if it's yours or not.

BTW~I agree with everything else Judy said too.

This is what happends when people are irresponsible, having unprotected sex, promiscuous with multiple sex partners and the possiblity of pregnancies, abortions and contacting or spreading STD's is great.

The only way you can determine if this unborn child is yours is wait for the birth and request a DNA test. Teens are not ready for the responsibility that comes with having a baby, so I stress, please be responsible and wear a condom.  Judy
