Wow, this turns out to be difficult. Factoids I can think of about myself aren't surprising enough to sound like they're made up.
For a brief time, I worked as a manager for a heavy metal musical group booking their gigs, sending out their publicity, managing their money . . . ya.
I fell over a rail of a second story balcony and didn't break any bones.
When I was 18, I was working at an archaeological dig in England, and living in a shed on the site with other of the diggers. Took a month off, hitchhiked to Scotland, and figured I would not have enough money to keep vacationing. So I knocked on the back door of a hotel on the island of Arran and asked if they needed any short-term help. They did; the owner said she just wanted a "willing pair of hands." So I worked at the hotel for a month. I don't think this kind of thing happens today, but who knows, maybe it does.
I had my driver's permit and needed to get to work. I was 16. My mom said I could drive our car to my job! On the way home, I got too close to the side of a bridge and smashed the whole side in. I then did not get my drivers license until I was 19!
