Desperate for opinions

I'm so stressed out I just recently had a miscarriage with my boyfriend. I feel like he caused it because of all the stress he's putting me through. Just seven or eight months ago he told me he had prostate cancer. He's 25 years old and has no other health problems. Now i know that prostate cancer is usually found with African Americans and he's caucasian. Since he's told me this he hasen't seen a doctor not once I would know I'm with him 24-7.He has taken any treatments or anything and I feel like I'm being lied to.

Thanks JJety. I hate the whole "race" as an identifying factor. I'll have to read up more on it with respect to this health condition. I've heard people talk about how being First Nations/native/native american (whatever is politically correct) is a risk factor for FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome). Such utterly ridiculous tripe, as it has more to do with the prenatal environment than biological predisposition (not to mention social factors contributing to high levels of drug and alcohol abuse). "Race" can be blamed even when it has little or nothing to do with the subject at hand.

Was just curious as to whether the comment was a gross over-generalization.

Yeah, this guy is trying to trap you into staying with him.  Also, He obviously needs to be the center of attention.  I would leave ASAP before things get worse!

Yes, race is one of the risk factors.  Prostate cancer is more common among African Americans.  You can check out the American Cancer Society website for more info.

I'm curious as to how you know that prostrate cancer is more typical of African Americans than any other ethnic group. I've never heard anything like that before, and I don't believe it works like that.

Based on your other post, this guy is up to no good. I would confront him and then (probably) leave him. These kinds of lies in a relationship are unhealthy and will only cause further damage down the road.
