Lust ? Love? or Infatuation?

Can you help me get my thoughts together.  I recently met a man who was counselling me (only for a very short time) but I feel that there was a strong connection between us.  I haven't seen him for a couple of weeks as I no longer require his input (he wasn't actually a counsellor just someone I used to talk to).  I cannoot get him out of my head and miss his terribly.  We used to have such long coversations, he made me laugh, we talked about his personal life as well as my own, he used to tell me on days when I actually knew I looked good how nice I looked.  He hasn't directly told me where he lives but from the information he let drop I know where.  He talked to me about what he did on a night etc and his family (brother and niece etc).  This man is no real looker, but I have fallen for his personality, his fun loving ways, his sense of humour and all I want is to be with him.  I have tried telling myself that it is in my head and I am imagining the connection  but he also told me that the first time he met me he knew I was special.  There are numerous other things that were said between us (never anything that could be construed as lewd or anything).  He always seemed happy to see me, sat with me for long periods of time and I think I have fallen in love with him.  I cannot sleep for thinking about him, it really is driving me mad.  Do you have any comments or advice.  I feel I need to either approach this head on or just try my hardest to forget him.  Please be honest with me, if you think I am suffering a some sort of crush please tell me.  It will help believe me. Thank you

Thank you everyone for your help.  I have decided momagain59 is right.
I will send him a thank you card and see what happens.  If I just put something along the lines of give me a ring if you ever fancy a coffee and a chat on it and wait and see.  Thanks mucho momagain59.

Can you just let me know, whether you think I am totally reading something into nothing or if by what I have put about our time together and the things he said to me that there is a possibility of a connection.

Thanks again!!
Will keep you posted.

What a great idea momagain59!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! That IS good. JaniceRuth, that way you won't feel like a "stalker" and then you can see if he'll call you (if he's interested) without you feeling like you were the one to make the move. Maybe that's the little encouragement he needs :) Good luck!

You could always send him a thank you note (at his work place) with your # included if he would like to call sometime.

I think this is far from a fatal attraction scenario.  =)

Have you thought of writing him and telling him what you are feeling?

I honestly do not see any harm in swinging by and talking to him.  Seeing that you guys shared many conversations and shared personal information (which if it were a "professional" session then he would not have shared his personal life with you) then he would probably expect that you may pop by and talk to him.  Surely he's not expecting you to just vanish from his life, right?

Well, at least you have made me laugh!  I just don't think I could do it - he might think I am stalking him or worse a bunny boiler!!!

what else would there be to do whether it be a co-worker, professional counselor, pastor, police officer, neighbor, friend...???
if you like someone, whether you had previously talked w/ him for hours or only had one conversation online, you could tell them.  no law against it, i promise

just from everything you describe, i would tell you what i would do is call him up or meet with him and i would tell him how i felt about him and his company.  not too too much, but just enough bait to see if he was just waiting to bite back :)
