LOL. I think it would depend on where the tattoo was located and how much weight the person gained. If he/she gained a lot of weight the form of the tattoo would be altered. For example instead of it looking like a rose it could look like a blob of color.
I am fortunate and haven't gained much weight over the years. I am 49 kilograms.
Ah, a rose sounds pretty.
So, what happens if someone gets a tattoo when young and they gain weight? Does the tattoo just get a lot bigger and need to be touched up? I see young girls with it in the small of their back and that area is prone to getting larger over the years for some as is the abdomen.
I guess it would be good incentive to stay in shape.
I have a small, beautiful rose tattoo that I got years ago. I wouldn't get another one; I just need to have the rose freshed up a bit. It faded over time and I like to tan, so that doesn't help matters.
Ya, a botched tattoo would NOT be good. I love the idea of the paw!!! Heck, I might need a little paw myself. And a cross is meaningful. So, my idea of a small Minnie Mouse on my hip seems silly now. No significance, just thought it sounded cute. Not sure if it will be cute 20 years from now . .. something to think about.
Go to a tattoo artist whose work you have seen. Pick the design. I have a friend who had one done in her sixties, but she wanted script and the artist made a mess, blurring the letters.
I am going to get a wooden cross on my back
I have two already (and believe I am older than you, specialmom). I would like to get one more, a pawprint, either on my ankle or my upper arm/shoulder area. My pets, past and present, mean a lot to me and I'd like something as a remembrance of the happiness they've brought into my life.
