Used to be great, now it's sedate!

Married for 10 going on 11 years, she's three years older @ 50, but doesn't look it! Amazing genes, I call her my milf! Nevertheless, the first four years were great, amazing, inset superlative adjective here, next two to three weren't bad, but we were lacking in that department, last three years have stone cold sucked! We have sex maybe eight times a year, if I'm lucky! She has no desire and will not broach the subject with her Dr. She had a hysterectomy 20+ years ago and has been on hormone replacement therapy since...don't know if that's pertinent but...
I'm at a loss...I've tried everything I can think of to reignite her fire..seriously EVERYTHING!
Any suggestions....

I guess my question is on conflict in your marriage.  How is everything else going?  For many women, intimacy is tied up in those other things.  It can often be a barometer to the whole relationship.  I would suggest that she talk to her ob/gyn on her next appointment.  She  may be more willing to broach the subject with that specialist than a primary care doc as ob/gyns are used to discussing hormonal issues.  I hope this resolves so all can be happy!  good luck

Hi, 3 yrs. older isn't much and 50 is the new 40!  Her lack of intimacy could be menopause also, hormone change effects intimacy and lack desire in some cases. Communication is key here, so it's time to find the right time to "discuss" your concerns on her lack of desire and also discuss how your needs are not being met and how best can you both resolve this issue without if causing conflict in your marriage. If you continue to not get the result you want, I recommend a marriage counselor and then just take it from there. Good Luck, Judy

I would say her hormone therepy needs adjusted, but if she wont go to the doctor, whats a guy to do? Tell her how you feel that is what you do, then the decision to act or not is in her corner. If she wants to rectify the situation she will, if she does not want to rectify the situation then you have a right to know and make decisions accordingly. Her call.
