Pain when mild exercise

A few nights ago, upon sitting on the floor I felt an upper abdominal pain remeniscent of minor squashing of a gonad.  Upon arising to 'work things out,' the pain intensified.  Relieving possible panic with manipulation and reiki, I thought to go to ER, but felt I could sleep and did that instead.

Now, the symptoms are upper abdominal pain on my right side when walking fast and occasional back pain exactly opposite.  Pressure properly applied relieves symptoms.  Occasionally, I experience an involuntary sudden surge of in-breathing. The symptoms don't seem to be increasing and I am comfortable while typing this or with slow walking.

I am an active, 60-year-old, nonsmoker (but did), recently returned to daily workouts (weights, machines, bicycle, stairstepper), though always walking for miles or bicycling and otherwise keeping active through sex and dancing, and a few days prior played one-on-one strenuous basketball with my 24-year-old son-in-law (he barely won).

Otherwise, I feel great: eating well, sleeping well.  No other symptoms.  No insurance or funds makes me reticent to seek help ;-(

Are you sure this is the right Forum?  This Forum is for lung conditions, NOT abdominal ones.  It sounds like your main concern is your ABDOMINAL issues.  That would appear to be something you may wish to post in a gastroenterology forum like webmd.com.
In any case, it's very hard for anyone to give a diagnosis over the internet, particularly for intermittent pain.  Since cost sounds like a factor, you should call your local hospitals and Department of Health to see what services are available at low cost or no cost or for uninsured patients.  Good luck!
