Breathing Difficulty

Its hard to breathe, guess its due to my stress because this year im on a very stressful routine.

Lack of sleep, etc.

When i try to study, i find it hard to think like how i used to. Lack of oxygen, cant breathe normally, have to force breathing most of the times..

What is going on? Thanks.. :(

The most important thing is for you to determine if your breathing symptoms are due to a physical problem with your lungs or heart.  After you doctor has assured that your heart and lungs are fine, you can then work on the causes of anxiety, impaired concentration and lack of sleep.  Incidentally the lack of sleep and/or poor quality of sleep could be responsible for all of your symptoms.

I can definitely sense your frustration in your post. What makes you most short of breath? Is is all of the time or are there times when you are okay and then have that sensation? What has your doctor done about this...has he or she run lung function tests (PFT's), done an xray, or run any other diagnostic tests like blood gases or even a pulse oximetry reading in the office? I ask all of these questions because there are many reasons why someone can become short of breath, also importantly, some conditions have certain patterns of breathlessness. For instance, someone who has moderate emphysema will have shortness of breath with exertion but not neccessarily at rest whereas someone with a heart condition might be breathless all of the time, but worse with exertion. As far as desaturation or low oxygen levels, that can happen while someone is sleeping (sleep apnea) but affect them throughout the day as far as concentration goes. So you see, there are alot of things to look at and for the doctor to narrow down. I hope that you find the answers you need...if you aren't already seeing a lung specialist then I would recommend that. From there, he or she can run the appropriate tests and hopefully come up with a treatment plan. Good luck..Sunny
