MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

Your symptoms of dry cough could be due to bronchial spasm, which can cause repeated coughing, more so in the night. For therapy bronchodilators are given as tablets or inhalers.

However, on initiating therapy with this, the cough symptoms are likely to increase in an effort to bring out the secretions. Repeated steam inhalations can help loosen up and bring out the secretions, though this should be done prior to meals. Please consult your primary care physician for further evaluation.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

My bronchitis generally lasts for about 6 weeks...from the first sign of the yellow phlegm until the last cough.

I get this every year...every year since I was born. It bites!
I have tried antibiotics and coactifed ( cough syrup made of codeine) multiple times...never seems to work...except to constipate me. lol
I went to see an herbalist this time. He suggested to use 5 drops of oregano oil three times a day under my tongue. Tastes awful, burns like crazy...hope it works. lol
Oregano oil is a natural antibiotic...you can use it on cuts and stuff too.
He also said to take vitamins C & D along with it.
If it doesn't work...oh well...I'll get over it...always do. lol
I can just imagine what this is going to do to my poor lungs. This has been going on for 44 years now. Wish there was an instant cure.
Oh...and try living in Canada...think it's colder here than NY lol.
Good luck to both of us.
