I'm a 45 year old female with Allergies/Asthma (last 30 years). CT report shows 1. Extensive peribronchial thickening. 2. Areas of probable Atelectasis present in the right middle lobe. 3. An apparent endobronchial soft tissue nodule in the lingular bronchus. "Malignancy cannot be excluded, clinical correlation is recommended".
The use of 'probable' and 'apparent' seem vague to me. What does all this mean? What scans or tests would be more definitive?
