When my husband and I engaged in sex (he was on top) I had to struggle to inhale and almost passed out from no air. This started immediately. No pain other than that caused by lack of air. We stopped and I was fine. Tried again, same thing. Tried me on top, no problem.
Went to chiropractor next day, he said the psoas muscles and diaphragm were involved, and did some adjustments. During that day I felt a need to breathe deep constantly, but didn't want to hyperventilate, so tried to keep it normal. Tried sex again that night, still had to work hard to breathe, but not such a struggle. Went back to chiropractor, he did further adjustments. Haven't tried sex again since (a week ago). A few times I have felt pressure around the area of central lower abdomen (where I know the psoas muscles are located) about on a level with my hip joints. I admit I am somewhat apprehensive about further sex, but that wasn't what caused the difficulty the first or second time. I don't have anxiety attacks or other similar problems.
Thank you.
