Chonic cough

For the past 5 years I have suffered from this severe cough as a result of post nasal drip. I cough

... constantly during all my waking hours, but very little during sleep. I have been to various doctors and specialist such as ENT,s allergists, gasto, and heart/lung specialists. Infection and asthma has been ruled out as well as Gerd due to the seasonal only issue. I have been taking allergy shots for more than a yeart and a half for dusts, molds, fungus, and all the typical outdoor pollens etc. This has not helped me whatsoever. I am at my wits end as to what to do. Just hoping there might be someone out there that has suffered like me and found an answer or a physician that has advice in addition to all the trial and error i have been subjected to over the past 5 years. Any ideas, thoughts, help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Thanks for the suggestion, but i never liked milk , rarely use it and never drink it. My chronic cough magically appears 1st of October and ends somewhere in April like clockwork over the past 5 years. Based on that alone, i tend to rule out anything i may ingest. Plus i have no phlegm, just clear colored that is a constant flow of post nasal drip. Coughing rarely produces anything i can spit out. Just a constant unproductive dry chronic all day long cough.

Try switching from dairy to nondairy milk.  Almond milk is good if you are nto allergic to nuts.  I use soy milk, but I don't particularly recommend soy milk.  But there are others such as flax milk.

Dairy products are inflammatory and cause huge amounts of phlegm production.  Instead of just assuming it's a myth, you should try it.  You honestly won't miss milk.  You can probably handle small amounts of cheese, but I'd forgo large quantities of any form of dairy.  It's not that hard compared to other things if you are just cutting way back instead of really reading labels to completely eliminate it.
