Chronic Postnasal Drip

I am 18 years old and have suffered with sinus problems my entire life.  When I was very young my parents would take me to the doctors and I always came home with the diagnosis sinusitis.  When I was about 10 years old I started to develop a cough that would last for over a month due to sinus drainage, (worse at night), I would usually get this in February or June, then it would pass and I would be pretty healthy the rest of the year.  It started to turn into a problem as breathing began to get difficult at nights when I would go to bed.  I would throw up from coughing so hard.  Each time this happened I went to the doctor and they would give me an antibiotic and cough syrup.  Over the years the strengths of each increased due to ineffectiveness.  With these problems occurring during sports seasons it was absolutely miserable to deal with.  I was always the one coughing on the sideline drawing attention.  About a year and a half ago I got this same sickness in early February and it didn't go away until late June.  The whole entire season of high school baseball was me coughing constantly and trying to catch my breath. Then less than a month afterward I got thrush in my mouth and throat and had to take anti fungal mouth rinse. Once it cleared a couple of weeks later I got it back.  After it cleared in late July I had a few months of normal health until early November. I got the sinus problem again and this time was in the form of constant postnasal drip, in my opinion worse than the cough.  I struggled to swallow, clear and hock up the clear and white thick mucous for over a month and then finally scheduled an appointment with a local otolaryngolgist/allergist.  I was tested for allergies and had sinus x-rays done.  The x- rays turned out good, which wasn't the first time.  But I found out I'm allergic to trees, dust, grass, mold, weeds, dog, and foods such as cinnamon, tomato, onion, lettuce, and shrimp.  Foods I have eaten my entire life.  Now 8 months since i began taking allergy shots I see no improvement.  I have done my best to avoid these food allergens and have done pretty good.  My symptoms are dry stuffy nose, hard boogers I can sometimes get out, a difficulty swallowing, clear and clear-white thick mucous draining constantly down my throat, not running really mostly sticking in my throat and in the way back where my sinus connects to my throat, (which you can't see whats up there), I hock up the stuff constantly and struggle to swallow it. I have a somewhat dry mouth, although I drink tons of water.  I am afraid to go places especially social places and restaurants because the gagging and drainage seems worse after I eat and when I'm nervous or under stress.  This is the main problem I'm having because I'm starting college this fall and am playing baseball.  I can't be gagging and looking like I'm swallowing stones on the field.  And once I get out of breath it's an adventure.  I'm also sure that my roomates will enjoy me hocking all day and night.  I do sleep though thank
God.  Doctors or Anyone who can help me please do it! I'm miserable... my quality of life is 0...  This problem has changed who I am, the things I do, the people I hang out with and the places I go.  I enjoyed singing and playing guitar in my church's praise band until i gagged in the middle of a song and ran off stage to go choke up some mucous... Needless to say I don't do that anymore. I wish I knew what was wrong with me.
