Cold Symptoms Since Thanksgiving 2006.....What May Be Going On?

Here is what I've dealt with. What does anyone think may be going on in my body?

NOVEMBER 23rd
- began with sore throat
- developed into a dry cough and hoarse voice
- lasted about a week and a half

DECEMBER 5th - 15th
- felt fine

DECEMBER 16th
- began with a slight tickle in my throat
- developed into a lot of coughing and a lot of nasal drainage
- lasted about a week and a half

DECEMBER 28th - JANUARY 3rd
- felt fine

JANUARY 4th - Present
- started with severe congestion in left nostril
- developed into overall head congestion and nasal drainage

Maybe it's alergies or may be it is a cold. For allergies, have you tried an anti histamine of some king for a few days like Clayatine, Polaramine, your pharmacist can help you. If that is what it is, it should dry your nose up.
On the other hand, if you think it is a cold, take paracetemol at the max recommended dose for a day or so and that should dry your nose up.
Yes and quite right, keep away from sick people and don't touch the cat :-)

happens to me every Nov.

I get sick with a sore scratchy throat, day 2 runny nose, day 3 cough that I let last for about 2-3 weeks then I get antibiotics. about  2 weeks later-- same pattern.


wash your hands often and stay away from sick people! :-)
