The residual thymic tissue and mediastinal lymph nodes could be normal findings, the latter dependent on their size. The pleural densities, if small, are of the type commonly found on CT scans and these are often due to old scarring. The same might be true for the small peripheral nodular density.
Now, a caution. Any interpretation must be based on the direct visual observations of the radiologist and/or pulmonary specialist. They must also consider the density, size and other physical features of the densities, the age of the person, the presence or absence of symptoms, smoking history etc. All these and more must be taken into account. Together, all of this information helps one decide whether to remove the nodule or examine the mediastinum or to wait and repeat the scan. Given this limited information, the recommendation to repeat the scan in 6 months is not unreasonable but, for peace of mind, repeating it at 3 months might be preferable.
I should mention I am a 35 y/o non smoker. Had the CT Scan because I had not been feeling well.
