Hacking Coughs and Wheezing

I have been coughing for over three weeks now and I have a slight wheezing in chest. I have gone to see my GP twice and they have diagnosed me with Upper Respiratory Infection. I got Amoxillin and Paracetamol but it did not help much. My cough has subsided for a while but I still have a hack now and again. My chest also developed a wheeze that is not causing discomfort but is still a nuisance. I am now on Salbutamol and Erythromycin. Hopefully this can remedy my symptoms. But are there any other reasons why I have wheeze and a lingering cough? Appreciate the input.

you might want to have a sputum test done if the dr helping you hasn't done this you may be getting the wrong antibiotic .in wich case you will not get rid of your problem first you should try to identify the pathogen dr's can be wreckless throwing anibiotics around like chicklets.all bacteria have become resistant because of this .so if you don't know what your treating see if you can identify it first if not then try a fungal test they are a specific test that needs to be ordered .and if that does not work than you can try irrigation the neil med sinugator is my favorite.then there is a sodium bicarbonate mixture when inhaled through a nebulizer that very inexpensively kills fungi and yeast.and if that does not work you can try ozone wich kills all parasite's yeast fungus and molds and all bacteria and viruses.it kills the bad and makes your good cells healthier.

did they do any cultures to identify the pathogen ?without doing so they are not diagnosing a thing .they are just guessing.its hard to chose the right antibiotic if you don't know exactly what they are treating.with antibiotic resistance. being so prevalent you would think drs would stop being so wreckless with them.they throw them at patients like m -n-m's.if they cannot find it in a sputum test .then it might not be bacterial it may be fungal .that is a specific test that must be requested.if you cannot get an answer that way there are alternative therapy's that can help neil med sinugator sinus rinse is a favorite of mine.for fungal infections even in the lungs baking soda and water mixture in a nebulizer is very effective.my favorite is ozone therapy because ozone does not care what it is .it gets rid of every fungus yeast or mold .every bacteria and kills all viruses .
