My 3 year old son has been diagnosed with pneumonitis with hilar adenopathies. He has been experiencing on and off high grade fever for almost 2 weeks now. I would like what medicine to give him.

Hi, this could be due to either tuberculosis, sarcoidosis or other kind of infections. Try a course of augmentin or third generation cephalosporin antibiotic along with amikacin, and if pneumonitis does not go after 4-5 days of therapy or fever still persisits, further evaluation i.e CT chest along with biopsy is needed to find out the cause.
