In need of some serious help!

I am 41 and have been blessed with horrible sinuses.  I had surgery in 97 and it seemed to have done nothing.  I was tested for allergies in 97 and was allergic to many things.  I went through two years of allergy shots and still got infections.  In the early summer of 2003 I was hospitalized with Asthma, never had this before, for 7 days was pumped full of prednisone, released and the cycle starts over.  I can not get off the prednisone, and when I do it is for only 4-7 days.  Last visit I found out I now have osteoperosis!! I am freaking out!!  I am on antibiotics for 21 day 500mg 2x bioxin.  This used to help for the sinus infections, but now seems to be useless.  Allergy test now show I am not allergic to anything, I don't have COPD. My stress test was fine.  I get terrible headaches and have nothing to blow out!! It just seems to stay locked in my sinuses.  I was told that everytime I get a sinus infection it will go straight to my lungs and it does.  I have three boys all under the age of 10 and can't take this I have gone to ENT's, Allergists, and Pulmonologists (most recent) noone seems to be able to help me.  I really can not take this and am begging for help.  The prednisone is going to kill me.  I am so huge and uncomfortable, my joints ache, my eyes get blurred and ooze.  I can't walk up a flight of stair with out getting winded! Please help me!!!! I nebulize (Duo Neb)1-6 times a day, take singular, advair, nasonex, prednisone, biaxin.  I am too young for this and am very depressed at this point.  Is there a specialist who can help me?  I'll go anywhere for help

Try Grossan Original Sinus Irrigator Tip orHydro Pulse. It worked for me, but you have to use it daily, sometimes 2 x a day. Do a search and plenty of sites will come up that sell these products. Good Luck

Hey.  I wanted to let you know your not alone!  My life is completely on hold due to my asthma, but most of all my side effects to Prendisone.  I have a PICC line and get 125mg 3 times a day. this is just to maintain my breathing (I still have attacks)  Im told Ill be on if for life and Im only 21!  make sure to get your eyes checked, prendisone can cause problems with them.  ANd my specialist says if you are on steroids orally, dont be on them with a pump, it does more damage then good.  Also I had been on Nebs for years, and he has me totally off them, 1-6 times a day can really mess up your vocal cords and cause more wheezing.  hope you feel better soon                                       -Marsbars

I really dont know at all if i can say anything that can help you but i can relate duke to my having a constant chest congestion and a clicking noise everytime i cough it feels like plegm moving up and down, i have been on antibiotics and nothing is helping i was told i have bronchitis and asthma with allergies and i am getting really depressed too this has been going on now for 4 months and i cant get any help either not even a chest x-ray, i too have been begging for help......I do hope that you feel better and get the help you need.
