Is it Pleurisy??

I am a 39 year old woman with Fibromyalgia and CFS. I regularly see a Rheumatologist for my ilness. He routinly does basic blood work on me and everything is usually normal. I have had MRI's of my head and uppe and lower spine a year ago, all normal. Last month I saw a hemotologist/oncologist for several swoolen lymph nodes. He said all was OK and the bloodwork he did was normal. 5 days ago I started having trouble breathing, heaviness/tightness in my chest, dizziness, steady moderate pain in the whole chest area, and occasional sharp pain under my left breast. I went to the ER 2 days ago. The Dr questioned me extesively, ordred blood work and a chest x ray, gave me pain medication and a muscle relaxer. Nothing improved, so I had a CAT scan of my chest. The scan and x ray showed nothing. They said the bloodwrk was normal, but upon reviewing it, I found this..My RBC was 3.49 and was flagged as being low, my hgb was 10.4-low, hct 31.8-low, rdw 476-high, plt 6.2-low, mpv 6.2-low, lymphs 47-high, and pltst said sl increased. I don't know what, if anything all this means. A new doc came on and asked a few questions and Dx'd me with Pleurisy, gave me a pain med to take along with the 40mg of oxycontin I take for the Fibro, and Vioxx for 10 days. I was told to rest. My conditioned has worstened. I feel the pressure and difficulty breathing even while at rest. It gets worse while I am walking and I have trouble walking more then 20 feet. My heart pounds when I get up.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

The results of your blood work that you noted show anemia.  The normal chest x-ray and CT scan are reassuring but the chest pain and heaviness/tightness in your chest are worrisome.  Pulmonary embolism (PE) could cause most of what you have described.  PE is a blood clot in an artery of the lungs.  The most common place for the clot to travel from is a vein in the legs.  Most of the time this is due to some type of trauma to the legs, like a broken bone.  However the clot could also come from a vein in the pelvis, the arm, the shoulder, or even the heart.  Blood clotting problems can also cause blood clots to form in the lungs.  A helical or spiral CT scan is helpful in finding blood clots.  Another test that is helpful in finding blood clots is a ventilation-perfusion scan.  An echocardiogram would check that your heart is working properly.

I forgot to add that at the ER I was given peak flow test where I got 350, then I was given a nebulizer treatment and another peak flow test was 320. My oxygen level was between 98-100% the whole time.
Thanks again
