KC-287

After almost 5 years since the last post, has KC-287 been approved by the FDA yet?  Is the research still going on, and if so does anyone know what the status is?  I cannot locate any information after 2006 on this very promising sounding treatment.  Can Alternative practitioners obtain this product?  I know, lots of questions, but there does not appear to be any reasonable treament options at this time.  Thanks!

I kept digging and I found Steve Frank and Chris Groutt, mentioned in the press release for KC287, started a company called Nature's Rite. After speaking with their sales rep I am told that KC-287 was a colloidal silver solution that they now call Respiratory Relief.

I don't know enough about colloidal silver to say anything about it other than I know to stay away from poorly produced silver solutions and don't take too much as silver poisoning can cause permanent extreme skin discoloration.  I know the FDA says to stay away from it but they've lost almost all their credibility with me when you see how they behave, how many incredibly dangerous pharmaceuticals have been approved to only be recalled later, and how they have publicly passed the responsibility of proving drugs safe to too often unaccountable pharmaceuticals.

Colloidal silver is not associated with the bluish grayish skin color.  I’ve used it for years off and both inhaled and topically.  I’ve read the blue skin is associated with the silver salts used in the early 20th century.  There is no such association with colloidal silver.
thanks for that information. good to know.

I attempted to contact Klearsen Corp. Several of my searches came up with Peaceful Mountain (.com) but they're not a related company - I even called their number (303) 443-8700 and the receptionist had no information on who could provide me with information on Klearsen or KC287. I checked the BBB and their records provide no phone number and www.klearsen.com is a broken website. I'm also finding no results on google scholar for KC287 and no papers mentioning Klearsen research after their 2006 announcement on this breakthrough treatment.

Given that this treatment would eliminate the need for vastly more expensive medications (that also have possible side effects so severe the patient can then become medicated for life to treat the damage) I recommend watching Burzynski the Movie for what has likely happened - corruption and incompetence saturating the FDA and the pharmaceuticals has hindered our health and progress.
