Lung nodule

A year ago when I had a CT scan of my chest they found a 5mm non-calcified well defined nodule in the base of my left lung. I am not a smoker and am 64 years old. I'm going soon for a contrast scan. I'm not really terribly worried, but the non-calcified thing seems to be a red flag. Any thoughts or has anyone else had something similar? Thanks
